We strive to target the species you want to hunt.
Great Canadian, Lessers, Speckle Bellies, Snow and Ross Geese are all abundant in the morning waterfowl hunt. Be sure to bring duck loads as well as there is usually a lot of quack action in the morning.
Afternoon’s hunt is focused on ducks over water or in the fields. There is nothing quite like spending your afternoon sitting in a blind over a marsh and listening to the relaxing sounds of quack-boom-splash. Sandhill Cranes are also abundant in the area and can be targeted for some exciting waterfowl hunting.
Your spotters and guides will use their judgment to put you on, what they feel, is the best opportunity for the next morning, but the final decision is yours.
Guides will do set up of decoys but if everyone pitches in, some additional sleep can be had. Dark Goose hunts are made successful with the use of 8+ dozen full body Big Foot Decoys. Snow Goose hunts utilize a set made up of dozens of shells in conjunction with silhouettes and Texas rags if needed. Individual Avery Finisher blinds (layout blinds) woven with natural cover are strategically placed among the set. A portable blind may also be used to accommodate the caller and anyone who is not comfortable lying in a blind.
Feel free to bring your own calls and use them… the more proficient callers the better!
Your dogs are also more than welcome to join the hunt.
FEES & SCHEDULE
Hunts begin with your arrival at the Saskatoon Airport on Sunday or Wednesday evening. Your guides will meet you, retrieve your luggage and assist you in picking up your rental vehicle. From there you will proceed the 1/2 hour drive to camp. After unpacking you can rest from your flight or hop in a truck with a guide to go spot for upcoming hunts. Shoots take place in the morning and afternoon on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday, Friday and Saturday, depending on your booking. Days are not written in stone and depending on availability, we can work with you to tailor your stay to meet your needs.

* 3 day – 3 night Waterfowling Package in September or October is $1495 USD (5% tax) per person.
* Additional days are $500 USD per person.
* A 50% non-refundable deposit must be received within 2 weeks of booking to guarantee your trip. If you wish to confirm your booking immediately, deposit can be made through PayPal.
* Remainder of balance to be paid via Paypal or cash/ certified cheque upon your arrival.
* Group sizes can range from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6.
WHAT TO BRING
What You Don’t Need
Transportation to and from hunts, accommodations, meals, spotters, guides, licenses, decoys, blinds and boats are all provided through Honker Heaven Outfitters.
Bird cleaning and packaging are provided (wing left on for legal transport) and custom cleaning can be arranged.
What You Do Need
Fall in Saskatchewan is unpredicatable. Mornings can range from cool to cold and afternoons from summer to sub zero temperatures.
It’s imperative that you layer your clothes and have the ability to put on or remove as the weather dictates. Being hot or cold can ruin a days hunting! Wool or polypropylene undergarments work well to move moisture away from the body while still insulating.
An outer layer of camouflage is a must for proper concealment and a full camouflage face mask is very important as birds flare off faces, hair, glasses, etc. Bring an assortment of good gloves ranging from light to heavy. You should be able to shoot with your gloves on.
You will also need:
* hip waders
* rain gear
* guns (must be plugged to allow 2 shots in the magazine and 1 in the chamber)
* cooler (for taking the birds home)
* comfortable waterproof boots
* ammunition (minimum BB for geese and #2-#4 for ducks)
* transportation to and from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

ACCOMMODATIONS
Depending on the location of your hunts, you will stay in a fully furnished modern farmhouse or local hotel. Accommodations are clean and comfortable and a short drive from most of our hunts.
MEALS
As our guest, you will experience gourmet meals of naturally raised beef and numerous waterfowl dishes. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.
After dinner, spend your evening relaxing back at the house or out by the fire (weather permitting), sharing stories of the day’s action.
ABOUT US
Brothers Travis and Kevin Quirk have always had an appreciation for the excellent waterfowl hunting that Saskatchewan has to offer. Throughout the years they had various discussions about starting an outfitting business and when the opportunity arose to purchase a waterfowl outfitter’s license, it was an easy decision. Honker Heaven Outfitters Inc. was born.
Travis lives in the community of Colonsay, which is the base of operations for Honker Heaven Outfitters Inc., with his wife Sierra and daughter Caryss. Travis has several years of experience working for an outfitter as a waterfowl guide and this was an excellent learning opportunity for becoming an outfitter himself.
Kevin lives in Saskatoon with his wife Crystal and dog Lily. Over the past two years, Kevin has furthered his love for waterfowling by working with and training Lily as a bird dog.
Growing up in the prairie parkland of Saskatchewan, hunting, fishing and hiking have always been a big part of the brother’s lives. Whether it’s chasing big game (elk, moose, white tail deer, mule deer and antelope), game birds (grouse, pheasants and partridge) or waterfowl, they have shared many adventures.
At Honker Heaven Outfitters Inc., Travis and Kevin strive to meet and exceed all expectations by providing a memorable waterfowling adventure in a professional, relaxed and stress free manner. They are a grass roots, family run outfitter and this is apparent in their approach to making their guests feel at home while sharing an unforgettable outdoor experience.
